midipoet submits CCS proposal for 'policy and regulatory framework' research
midipoet1 has submitted a new CCS proposal2 looking to work part-time on policy and regulatory framework research within the Monero Policy Working Group3 for 6 months:
I think its relevant to Monero currently and might allow the broader ecosystem to understand better how regulatory pressure is impacting privacy and data protection rights.
Total funding: 332 XMR (€75/h + 20% buffer).
ETA: 6 months (480 hours).

- M0: 33 XMR @ upfront
- M1: 66 XMR @ end of month 2
- D1: blog post (1K words) on the current state of cryptocurrency tegulation in Europe, with specific relation to Monero and other privacy coins
- M2: 66 XMR @ end of month 4
- D2: blog post (1K words) on the application (or not) of MiCAR (Market in Crypto-Assets Regulation) to Monero and Haveno
- M3: 167 XMR @ end of month 6
- D3: academic journal paper submitted to a respected academic journal (5-10K words) on The state of play of privacy-preserving cryptocurrency and the application of European Legislation to the privacy coin ecosystem
midipoet is a key contributor to MPWG policy consultations4, has produced a journal paper for a three star academic journal5, and was also part of the MoneroKon6 organizing team.
