'AntiDarknet' collective claims responsibility for suspected Monero spam attack
AntiDarknet1 - a group that’s dedicated to disrupt (darknet) operators and their websites - has recently claimed responsibility2 for the suspected spam attack against Monero that started around March 5th3:
The attack was done in a very simplistic way and without much scripting. [..] Privacy and for freedom are important. But not at the cost of being complicit in for-crime operations such as those marketplaces. We sincerely hope the Monero developers patch the vulnerability and we apologise for the disruption to any legitimate users during and now as a result of dropping this zero-day.
