Unstoppable Domains introduces personalized .XMR onchain domains

Unstoppable Domains¹ has announced² the launch of personalized .XMR³ onchain domains that can be used instead of long wallet addresses, in collaboration with Cake Wallet and the Monero project:

In partnership with @monero and @cakewallet, we’re making $XMR payments more secure and private. [..] .XMR domains let you transact securely on Monero and streamline payments in Cake Wallet across multiple blockchains like Solana, Ethereum, and more, without revealing your financial identity.

Unstoppable Domains celebrated its Cake Wallet integration in 2021⁴ with a fundraiser that resulted in a $7.5K contribution to the Monero General Fund.

It is worth noting that the .XMR domains landing page illustrations were originally designed by Monero Graphics⁵.

Update: Cake has confirmed the UD collaboration to MO and clarified that users will be able to purchase domains directly with XMR ‘down the road’ (no ETA); credit was given by UD to Monero Graphics for the designs.
