openENet submits whooping 30000 XMR CCS proposal to build 'MoneroSpace' satellite network

openENet team¹ has submitted the largest CCS proposal² ever, looking to build MoneroSpace³ - a decentralized satellite communication infrastructure:

The MoneroSpace project focuses on open-source collaboration to fill the gap in Monero’s physical-layer censorship resistance. Despite preparation-phase challenges, our transparent development process, community-driven incentives, and robust technical solutions aim to build a decentralized satellite communication infrastructure.

Proposed funding: 30000 XMR.

ETA: 2027.

Milestones

• M1: Satellite Node Hardware Design & Team Formation (7000 XMR)
• M2: Radiation-Hardened Node Software Development & Compliance Preparation (8000 XMR)
• M3: Satellite Prototype Testing & Spectrum Application (10000 XMR)
• M4: Community Testnet Launch & First Deployment (5000 XMR)
