j-berman1 has published a second progress report2 for his full-time 2025 (part 11) Monero/FCMP++ and Seraphis dev work CCS proposal3:
We launched the alpha stressnet! I spent a solid chunk of time watching the stressnet, investigating and fixing issues. Continuing to work on stressnet improvements.
Work overview
Merged PR's:
* FCMP++ wallet: remove initial hash download on restore +
fix deep reorg handling + wallet2 refresh refactor
* Start the alpha stressnet
* Fix FCMP++ sync on windows / 32-bit machines
* CLI: fix constructing default txs before the FCMP++/Carrot fork
* FCMP++/Carrot: fix generators reproduction (identified by u/DataHoarder)
* wallet2: allow re-spending a >=10 block old reorged spent output
Other tasks:
* FCMP++/Carrot wallet: fix slow wallet open/refresh for wallet w/many outputs & large pool
* p2p: bump fluffy block byte size limit
* wallet: CLI & RPC speed up refresh/show_transfers with large pool
* FCMP++ wallet: fix handling when restore height's prev block is reorged
* Opened a number of FCMP++ integration PR's to the main monero repo [..]
