fujimoto44 releases source code for 'standalone' XMR POS device

fujimoto441 has announced2 the initial release of XMR POS3 (version 0.9.0) - a self-contained alternative to Monero-Merchant4 built for cafés and small businesses:

[..] no phone, no backend server to host, an alternative to Monero-Merchant that’s just one box [..] it hasn’t touched real hardware yet [..] the default config connects to stagenet instead of mainnet - be sure to switch it if you’re doing actual testing.

The project maintainer is apparently looking to raise 0.3 XMR for hardware parts2. Raspberry Pi owners can also contribute by opening an issue on GitHub with the results of their tests.

Note: inspect the code before using; XMR POS was only tested on Monero stagenet without physical hardware6.
