fluffypony resigns from Monero Core Team after nearly a decade
fluffypony1 has announced2 his immediate resignation from the Monero Core Team after serving for ~5 years as the project’s lead maintainer and another ~4 years as a backup maintainer3:
2014-2019 (December 16): lead maintainer
2019-2023 (November 6): backup maintainer
For the sake of clarity, I am stepping down as a member of the Monero Core Team effective immediately. I have not really had any active role in the Core Team in many years, and this is in line with my stated goals since 2018. As part of this, any remaining privileges or access I have will be handed over or revoked. [..]
fluffypony suggested that any of his vestigial4 privileges should preferably be transferred to new self-assembling workgroups5 in the coming weeks / months.
