Anon donates ~2696 XMR to Monero General Fund

An anonymous contributor has donated 2696.73 XMR (~$464.8K USD)1 to the Monero General Fund address2.

plowsof’s monero-fund-watch3 Python script tweeted4 the donation alert a few hours ago:

binaryFate moved the donation to the GF2 wallet5, confirming that the transaction is indeed legit (not change).

The community is currently discussing6 potential connections between the unexpected donation and the recent CCS wallet incident7 which resulted in the loss of 2675.73 XMR.
